Local park crowd

I am looking for a local group that rides the parks regularly in KC.... Something like the Escapists (skateboarders) but on bikes.

I used to ride and am trying to get back into it and I would like to ride when others are there.

Also, I would like to at least find a couple of guys that can really ride. I'd like to do a small photo shoot for a website I am building.

we're all pretty skatepark friendly here but do check out www.freeridelounge.net ...they're straight outta KC while we're more out west near Manhattan.

Look up Cakeboy or mtbjunkie ...those dudes rip skateparks (mtbjunkie is also in here if ya haven't noticed.)

Cake is on the injured list so it might be a while for him.

Hey Jason (not Dirty),

I actually just got on my street bike tonight for the first time in a while. I'll be hitting it pretty hard until winter hits though. Penn Valley is just right up the street from me ad PV isn't too far away.

I'm not the 'really good' rider that you are looking for though. But I'll ride with ya for sure. I net a guy the other day that just moved here from IL who rides some street and park too. There are a few other fellas in the midtown area that'll come out for a spin as well. Once Cakeboy gets better I am sure he'll come out and play.

Pm me on here or on Freeride Lounge if you want to cruise around midtown or hit one of the parks.

I'm getting pretty close to coming off the DL.... probably at about 85% still, haven't been on the bike in almost a month and half, which means I've only been out of the hospital for about 5 weeks. Still have A LOT of pain in my left hip and kidney, trying to find a good kidney belt so i can ride.

should be feeling well enough to come out friday and enjoy some hopefully nice weather...
